It is officially NO LONGER a coincidence that the last 3 updates are spaced by precisely 24 hours.
The RTC clock must be wet and only triggering on days and not minutes/seconds (how's that for a hare-brained theory)

7:00 PM ADT is 12:00 AM, midnight GMT. Eureka?
ReplyDeleteThe seconds rollover in RTS is failing to raise an alarm, but the day rollover is succeeding. (???)
It takes about 2 minutes to wait for power-up to succeed, clear out old emails, camp, cache the SIM, etc., and about 5 minutes MAX to wait for GPS lock, then about 1 minute for preparing the email? It's theoretically possible to take 9 minutes to start the email but I would have expected closer to 5 minutes total when the signal strength is OK.
Really, I am surprised and confused. I am not sure this line of thinking is making sense. I'm also not sure if it's HW but it feels like a HW problem considering the picture-taking problems started at the same time.
